This model has been discontinued. However, we have a few refurbished units in stock. Most people will want to buy the Nexride Pro. It's the same price and includes a custom seat post. It's the better product. However if you have an unusual seat post diameter you may need to buy the Nexride Standard which should work with your existing seat post. The Nexride Saddle is the first noseless bike seat
designed specifically for the sport cyclist. Unlike other noseless saddles, the lightweight Nexride Saddle contains patent-pending technology that allows it to flex with your natural motion, providing unparalleled performance, protection, and comfort. (See Why Noseless?
The Nexride saddle is a padded "bench" that supports cyclists under their sit bones (ischial tuberosities, if you must), rather than their very sensitive perineal areas. The sit bones were engineered by nature to support your body weight. Your perineum was definitely not.
However, an ordinary bench makes a lousy bike seat. Fortunately, the Nexride Saddle is no ordinary bench. A key Nexride patent-pending innovation allows the Nexride noseless saddle to pivot 15 degrees in either direction to accommodate the natural motion of your femur and pelvis as you pedal.
The combination of a robust bench and a pivoting base offers both safe and secure support of your pelvis and unimpeded pedaling for the sport cyclist.
You can see the pivoting motion of the saddle here. (This is actually the Pro model shown, but the motion of both models is identical.)
The Standard model is designed to work with almost any conventional bicycle seat post. Look at the bottom of your current bike seat. If there are two parallel metal rails that are clamped by your bicycle's seat post, then the Nexride Standard model will probably fit your bike. However, most customers will prefer the Nexride Pro (which includes its own seat post) as it will give you a cleaner look.
